A certified reproduction of the Plan of Ponton's Block, being Lots # 21 & 22 on the south side of Bridge Street West, Belleville, for William Hamilton Ponton, on the Commercial Bank Plan. Surveyed by John J. Haslett P.L.S. in 1853.
This copy was made in 1972 of plan #27, as registered in the Hastings Land Registry Office.

Some of the lot owners are named along the south side of Charlotte Street: George Ritchie Lot # 28, Lt. Col. Campbell and Jacob Wilson Lot # 28. Surveyed by John D. Evans, P.L.S., and signed October 15, 1872.

Chard, to Gerry Boyce, President of the Hastings County Historical Society, concerning the history of the River Valley and Oak Hills community ca. 1910-1967; a five page genealogy of early settler families in River Valley and Oak Hill; and a manuscript essay on the history of River Valley ca.1881-1959 by Mrs. Roy (Bessie) Bush, Stirling. Also present are several newspaper clippings concerning meetings of the River Valley Women's Institute, 1960-1964.

Madoc : Hannah family genealogy
File contains a typescript extract from the Hastings County Court Registry Office concerning the ownership of a piece of land in Madoc Township, granted to C. Gordon Hannah in 1861. The lot is not identified, but information from the land index maintained by the Marilyn Adams Genealogical Research Centre suggest that it is lot 24 in the seventh concession of Madoc Township.
