The photographs are arranged by subject matter and cover activities in and around the town of Deseronto, Ontario. The majority date from the late nineteenth century and many depict the lumber-related industries of the Rathbun Company in Deseronto. There are also photographs of school groups, churches, railways, First World War airfields and portraits of Deseronto citizens.

An original copy, dated Oct 1, 1907, of The Canadian White Ribbon Tidings referencing the "Busy Belleville Y's". A copy of typed address, titled "Why we need new members for the W.C.T.U. & Y's", prepared by Miss Maud Reeves of the Belleville "Y" for the 1923 Convention at Picton.
File contains a booklet case with a Gough's Clothier advertisement and a list of start and end dates for First World War knitting projects, and an original flyer advertising the prices of merchandise.
Fonds consists of 17 minute books of the Quinte Women's Institute and the group's Tweedsmuir history, which includes postcards, press clippings and photographs. Also included is a banner for the institute, history of the institute and files of loose papers for each minute book (letters, receipts, newspaper articles, reports, programmes and newsletters).
