Biografie
Charles Mott was born on November 2, 1897. In the First World War he served as a gunner with the CEF, starting May 7, 1918. He was on his way to Siberia when the armistice was signed and was demobilized on April 24, 1919.
He served as City Engineer for the City of Belleville from 1929-1958. He then became the city planning engineer from 1958-1961. In his final years with the city he served as planning director and technical assistant with the Belleville & Suburban Planning Board before his retirement in 1960. He spent a total of 45 years with the City of Belleville.
He married his wife Carmileta Florence Mastin on April 30, 1923. He died at the age of 71 years on May 17, 1969.
