The file contains a booklet titled "A Sherry Family of Canada; the descendants of George and Susanna Sherry early settlers of Hastings County. Complied and written by Robert Dean Sherry. 1789-1967"
A supplement to the volume was published in 1981 by Robert Sherry.

A red and white quilt made in 1894 by the Steady Gleaners, a group of women affiliated with the Presbyterian Church of the Redeemer, Deseronto, Ontario, possibly with the aim of raising funds for missionary work. This quilt may have been made for such a purpose. The signatures of the women in the society are embroidered onto the squares of the quilt.

This copy was made in 1972 of plan #27, as registered in the Hastings Land Registry Office.

Reproduction of letters from Belleville and district, to Henry Yager during the Legislative session of 1835. Correspondents are C.H. McCollom, Reuben White, Thomas Coleman, Neil McArthur, Thomas D. Appleby, Stephen Benson, Samuel Ross, and John Holmes Also included is a copy of a local appropriation in connection with the cholera epidemic.

File contains extensive typescript notes transcribed by Gerry Boyce from newspaper, archival and secondary sources concerning recruitment of volunteers, and military action in the Rebellion of 1837. Also present are mimeographs of two essays concerning Hastings County connections and military contributions to the defence of Upper Canada during the Rebellion.

File contains a manuscript motion of the Hastings County Municipal Council, October 1869 expressing the Council's regret at the death of Sheriff Moodie, with a manuscript letter from Susanna Moodie to the County Council of Hastings , 26 October 1869 expressing her thanks.
