File contains newspaper clips c.1969 of the Belleville City Council elections, the proposed new arena being voted against, the Ontario Municipal Record approving a capital works budget, Moira sewer to begin construction, J. R. Reynolds on future of Belleville, Belleville city Council and Mayor in clash with merchant Xarl Roluf over proposed plaza, inaugural meeting for the rec-arena committee, and Russel Scott elected as Mayor.

File contains a c.1850 description of a fireman uniform and of activities of the fire department and men according to Mrs. Moodie, c.1851 petition by the residents of the upper part of town to form a separate fire company, c.1851 petition by G. & J. Brown to try and form a separate fire company, a brief history of the Belleville fire department, a newspaper clip of a fire at a cigar factory in Belleville, and a newspaper clip on the fire that destroyed Mr.Neilson's house.
