Plan of subdivision creating Bay and Cross Streets in Plainfield, Thurlow Township, Ontario. Text reads: "Plan of Town lots laid out on the front of the East Half of lot number twenty three in the Seventh concession of the Township of Thurlow in the County of Hastings, Surveyed for the proprietor Josephy Fletcher Mackencie [Mackenzie] , By John Emerson P.L.S. October 1877. Scale one chain to an Inch. This plan is correct and is prepared under the provisions of the Registrations of Titles (Ontario) Act. John Emerson P.L.S. Duplicate Plan registered the first day of June A. D. 1878." The lot at the southeast corner is identified as "Halls Tavern Lot".

Scanned image of a certificate of first communion and confirmation for Virginia Houle (1874-1944), the donor's grandmother. She received her first communion in Deseronto, Ontario, in August 1885 [at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church] and was confirmed in Napanee, Ontario on November 3rd, 1887 [at St. Patrick's Catholic Church].
The certificate was printed by L. Turgis, 60 Rue Des Ecoles, Paris.

He was also a member of the volunteer fire brigade and associated with the 49th Hastings Rifles. He was a member of St. John's Presbyterian Church.

Minute book of the Canadian Order of Foresters, Court Quinte No. 1. The fraternal society met in Deseronto, Ontario. The minutes record applications for membership of the society, payments of bills and notes of people who addressed the group. There are some loose papers inside the volume, mainly applications for admission, with reports of character committees on the back.

Steady Gleaners' signature quilt
A red and white quilt made in 1894 by the Steady Gleaners, a group of women affiliated with the Presbyterian Church of the Redeemer, Deseronto, Ontario, possibly with the aim of raising funds for missionary work. This quilt may have been made for such a purpose. The signatures of the women in the society are embroidered onto the squares of the quilt.
