Along with a handwritten copy of a letter addressed to His Royal Highness sent prior to the Royal visit; a printed copy of the Resolutions, together with a copy of the Address intended to be presented.

First a motion from the meeting of the Municipal Council of the County of Hastings to send condolences to the Queen and Royal Family on the death of the Prince Consort. A handwritten copy of the letter sent to the Queen on behalf of Hastings County. A transmission dated 26-March-1862 sending a copy of a dispatch from the Secretary of State conveying Her Majesty's reply.
