Biografie
James Owen Herity was born 16 April 1870 in Huntingdon Township, Ontario, the son of Samuel Herity and Christianne (Wood). He was the editor of the Daily Ontario newspaper in Belleville from 1910 to 1921 with his brother-in-law, W. H. Morton, and subsequently became the president of the Belleville Chamber of Commerce until his death on 14 December 1945.
