File contains brief history of the Parish of St. Charles Borromeo in Read as well as two newspaper clippings from the Intelligencer, one dated 20-August-1968 titled "Burial Site of Early Anglican Catechist Who Served Mohawks Is Rediscovered" and the other dated 27-November-1968 titled "Parish Centre of Tyendinaga Mohawks Endowed with Historical Significance".

File contains a souvenir booklet published by the 1960-1961 Council of Tyendinaga Indian Reserve, Deseronto, that contains stories and photos of the local Mohawk people. The file also contains a brief history entitled "Mohawks of Tyendinaga Reserve" written by Susan Claus, as well as a copy of Gerry Boyce's chapter on the "Tyendinaga Reserve" from Historic Hastings, annotated by Leslie Claus.

There are also petitions of protest from residents north of the York Road [Highway 2] who did not want to be part of the village. File also includes a plan of the proposed boundaries Mill Point (Map M440-1446).
