Biographical history

Albert Smallfield was born in Hackney, London, England on 31 January 1826, the child of George Smallfield, a printer, and Rebecca (formerly Stone). In the 1871 census he was living in Madoc, Ontario and working as an editor and proprietor. He died in Renfrew, Ontario, on 16 November 1902.
