The historical research was composed by Mrs. Ken Bateman for Gerry Boyce as background for Historic Hastings.

Also contains a manuscript poem composed by an unidentified Mohawk woman for Reverend Cyrus Allison, a pioneer Methodist missionary to the Mohawk of Tyendinaga. The name Gertrude F. Clarke was associated with this item by Gerry Boyce.
