Biographical history
John Henry Shaw was born in August of 1867, to parents Daniel and Jane, at Westmeath in Renfrew County, Ontario. He became licensed as an Ontario Land Surveyor and in 1900 he married Elizabeth Ann in Carleton County, Ontario. Throughout his career he worked for the provincial government surveying townships in Ontario and CNR lines.He died on May 12, 1922, at North Bay, Ontario, due to a case of chronic nephritis.

A certified reproduction of the "Re-subdivision of Lots # 4 to 11 and part of Lot # 3 also Block B, on northeast side of Bocage Street, Lots # 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 and part of Lot # 3 on southwest side of Terance Street, part of Lot # 3 (also Block C) on northeast side of Terance Street and part of Lot # 4 on southwest side of Kelly Street as shown on Plan 250.” Surveyed by John H. Shaw O. L. S. and signed June 18, 1917.
This copy was made in 1972 of plan #481, as registered in the Hastings Land Registry Office.
