John Dunlop Evans and Thomas Oliver Bolger were Ontario Provincial Land Surveyors who formed a partnership in Belleville, Ontario in around 1876. The partnership was dissolved in 1881 when Evans moved to Trenton, Ontario, to become the Chief Engineer of the Central Ontario Railway Company.
William Drewry was born on January 20, 1859, at Belleville, Ontario, to parents John Burnham Drewry and Glorianna Climie. He was apprenticed to Evans and Bolger in 1879 and qualified as an Ontario Land Surveyor (1882), and a Dominion Land Surveyor (1883). Throughout his career he surveyed with several government departments, railways and private firms. In 1884, he married Clare Lillian Hazard. He died on December 2, 1939 in Victoria, British Columbia.
