The file contains two papers on the history of the public library in Belleville. The first on titled "From Mechanics' Institute to Corby Public Library; The Development of library service in Belleville, 1851-1908", was prepared by Elizabeth Mitchell, Information Services Librarian, Belleville Public Library (date unknown). The second one titled "The Belleville Public Library; A History of Service" was prepared by Leona Hendry, Chief Librarian and presented March 17, 1992 at the Hastings County Historical Society.

  • File of notices, a program from a service dedicated to Queen Victoria's funeral; a list of soldiers from the congregation who fought in World War One; a program from Sunday, December 4, 1932; programs from Stainer's "The Crucifixion" from 1958, 1959, and 1961; the itinerary from the 1959 annual council meeting of the Women's Missionary Society of the Presbyterian Church in Canada; the list to elect the church's elders from 1959; a program from the church choir's production of Handel's Messiah in 1960; a program from the Girl Guide – Brownie Sunday service in 1961; a catalogue of art painted by Allan and Donnah Cameron for an exhibit held in 1964; a program and an advertisement for an organ recital from 1968; there is also a 1968 retelling of a performance by the Ladies of St. Andrews Church from 1889; and a copy of Talk 405 given by Gerald Boyce on Anniversary Sunday 2006

This file contains 3 original hand written books of the minutes for the Presto Musical Club of Belleville, Ontario. Volume One 1919 to 1923; Volume Two 1923 to 1933; and Volume Three 1933 to 1941. Typed minutes for meetings dated 14-Nov-1949, 12-Dec-1949; an original program for Philadelphia La Scala Opera Company October 6-10, 1947 at Massey Hall, Toronto and a Grand Opera Libretto with English translation of Verdi's Rigoletto, Edwin Kalmus circa 1930.
