Biographical history

Leonard Franklin LaBrash was born 26 September 1942 in Belleville, Ontario, the child of Frank LaBrash (1896-1954) and Hilda May Walsh (1910-1983). He attended S.S. 20 Public School in Thurlow Township (later Bayview Public School) and then Belleville Collegiate Institute & Vocational School, around 1958 to 1959. His yearbook dedication called Leonard ‘the silent and observing type’. He worked at the Belleville Police Service, 93 Dundas St East, starting as part-time custodian on 23 June 1986 and retiring on 14 March 2001. He attended the Calvary Temple Community Church, Belleville and lived at 7 Turnbull Street in Belleville. He died on 7 Feb 2019 at Belleville General Hospital and was buried in the Belleville Cemetery with mother Hilda on 9 May 2019.
