Rev. Robert McDowell, Presbyterian minister, 1768-1841

File contains a one-page printed Ontario Historical Society biography of Reverend Robert McDowell first regular Presbyterian Missionary to Upper Canada who served in the Bay of Quinte and Kingston areas from 1798 to 1841. Also contains a printed transcript of a memorial tablet commemorating the career of Reverend McDowall and his role as a founder of Queen's University.

Queen's University Library : political papers

File contains a typescript list of manuscript groups in the holdings of the Douglas Library Archives, Queen's University, which involve correspondence and papers of prominent Canadian political figures ca. 1775-1931. Also present is a typescript letter from E.C.Beer, Douglas Library Archivist to Gerald E. Boyce, 21 January 1965, concerning the list of holdings.

Willson, John Metcalfe - Papers

File contains original documents, presented to the Hastings County Historical Society in 1960; Biographical sketch written on 22-September-1869 covers the years 1862 to 1869 when Willson was teaching school in the southern part of Hastings County; educational papers; legal papers; correspondence and a poem entitled "To The Mohawks".
