Negatives of photographs taken by John Fairbairn Anderson. They include images of dams, electricity generating plants, the Beal family cottage on Stoney Lake and photographs of places Anderson visited, including Orillia, Los Angeles, Peterborough, Young's Point, Sulphide, Port Hope, Muskegon (Michigan), Chicago and Trenton (Ontario).

Many of the negatives are associated with an index card, on which Anderson wrote the number of the negative, the subject of the photograph and the date it was taken. There were also a number of negatives with no associated card.

A map of a town plot at the mouth of the Trent River in the Newcastle District. The map features numbered lots, present streets and water ways. Scale: 1 inch = 2 chains. Originally surveyed by F. P. Rubidge, D.P.S., in 1834. This copy was issued September 23, 1926.

A photocopy of a poster created in 1886 proclaiming "Murray Canal Demonstration! The preliminary opening of the Murray Canal will be celebrated on Wednesday, Oct. 6th, '86 at Twelve O'Clock Point, near Trenton, by a grand Demonstration, at which Sir John A. MacDonald and Hon. Messrs. White, Foster & Bowell will be present."

An original map produced for the Seymour Power & Electric Co. Limited, concerning proposed transmission lines within the Township of Murray. However, the map also features railways, roads, mills and land boundaries. Circa 1910. Scale: 50 chains = 1 inch. Map composed by Smith, Kerry and Chace Engineers located in Toronto, Winnipeg, Calgary and Vancouver.

Hicks; 3) A photocopy of the obituary for Rev. James Rollins born 28-Oct-1865 in Madoc and died 7-Feb-1943 in Kingston.

Trenton : Ferry license, 1879; Bay of Quinte Navigation Company

File contains a manuscript license issued by the Province of Ontario on 13 October 1879 approving the operation of a ferry from Sidney Township in Hastings County to Ameliasburgh Township in Prince Edward County. Also present are two printed, completed bills of sale, dated 5 November 1880 transferring 64 shares in the steam paddler, Mary Ethel, built at Trenton, to the Bay of Quinte Navigation Company (Limited).
