File contains a newspaper clipping from the Ottawa Journal of 27 March 1920 concerning iron ore deposits in Canada, including Hastings County. Also contains two newspaper clippings concerning management-labour relations regarding the planned closure of the Dyno Uranium Mine, Bancroft, dated 28 January and 1 February 1960.

The photographs are arranged by subject matter and cover activities in and around the town of Deseronto, Ontario. The majority date from the late nineteenth century and many depict the lumber-related industries of the Rathbun Company in Deseronto. There are also photographs of school groups, churches, railways, First World War airfields and portraits of Deseronto citizens.

File contains original and photocopied manuscript histories of the settlement and early development of Bannockburn including the lumbering and sawmilling industries. Includes a printout of a webpage on Maitland House (available on the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine at https://web.archive.org/web/20010805101431/http://casa-de.vrx.net/buildings/) and an article from the Fall 2019 Country Roads magazine about the conversion of St. Bartholomew Anglican Church in Bannockburn into a private home.
