Royalty Letter Hastings Co. Condolence to Queen - 1862

File contains original documents from 1862. First a motion from the meeting of the Municipal Council of the County of Hastings to send condolences to the Queen and Royal Family on the death of the Prince Consort. A handwritten copy of the letter sent to the Queen on behalf of Hastings County. A transmission dated 26-March-1862 sending a copy of a dispatch from the Secretary of State conveying Her Majesty's reply.

Dorothy Sargent : service award Centennial Year, 1967

File contains a typescript letter to Dorothy Sargent from J.R. Ellis, Mayor of the City of Belleville, commending Ms. Sargent's efforts on behalf of the Centennial Year celebrations and enclosing a printed certificate of recognition of service. Also present is a silhouette drawing from the St. Louis Fair, 1904 by E.J. Perry with the inscription on verso : J.T. Sargent.

Shannonville Fair - 1856

The file contains a photocopy of the original Royal Letter dated 15 September 1856, granting permission by Queen Victoria to J.W. Dunbar Moodie of Hastings County to establish a Public Fair and Mart in the Village of Shannonville.
