Deseronto Archives photographic collection

The photographs are arranged by subject matter and cover activities in and around the town of Deseronto, Ontario. The majority date from the late nineteenth century and many depict the lumber-related industries of the Rathbun Company in Deseronto. There are also photographs of school groups, churches, railways, First World War airfields and portraits of Deseronto citizens.

Marchmont Home : leasing, 1870

File contains a manuscript report of a Committee of the Hastings County Council in 1870 concerning the leasing of Marchmont Home, a residence to house an orphans from England. Also contains several manuscript motions of approval regarding financial support of Marchmont Home.

Thurlow Rural School Fair

This file contains an original Certificate of Honor issued to Keith Garbutt who won the greatest number of points in School Township of Thurlow at the Thurlow Rural School Fair held at Cannifton on 17 September 1925. Awarded by the Ontario Department of Agriculture.
