File contains a manuscript census of the village of Stirling, 14-15 December 1858, for the process of incorporation of the village. The census lists heads of households and number of members.
File contains a one page printed completed letters patent form authorizing the establishment of semi-annual fairs in the Village of Stirling, issued by the Province of Canada, 15 November 1861.
File contains a newspaper article from the Ontario Intelligencer, 16 May 1957 concerning major fires in 1883 and 1908 which damaged and destroyed several businesses and homes in Stirling.
File contains a photocopied printed pamphlet announcing the reopening of the Stirling High School for its fall 1888 session, the only high school in North Hastings in that period. Includes lists of programs and tuition rates.
