AIDS Awareness Committee materials
Newspaper clippings, photographs, and printed materials relating to the AIDS Awareness Committee of Quinte. Organized by Barbara Brenton after losing her brother in 1991, the committee held events from AIDS walks, candlelight vigils, World AIDS Day events, and fundraising events. In partnership with the Eastminster United Church and the Rev. Ed Bentley, annual vigils were held from 1994 to 2004. Brenton left the committee in 2005.

Materials relating to Santa's Village, Belleville, Ontario
Two photographs, a colouring book, a Quinte Weekly News newspaper of 22 December 1987 and 'What's Happening' magazine November/December 1993. The publications have features on the 'Santa's Village' Christmas display of Bruce and Marjorie Nickle of Marsh Street, Belleville, Ontario, set up in memory of Billy Foster. One photograph shows a snow-covered toadstool house and two gnomes, the other shows the 'Santa's Workshop' structure made by students of the Sir James Whitney School for the Deaf.

Deseronto Town Hall photograph collection
Photographs of Deseronto, Ontario dating from the 1970s to 2011, depicting a variety of Town events. They include a set of aerial photographs of the town from the 1980s; the interior of the former Home Hardware store in the Baker Block on Main Street; the O’Connor House on Main Street before its demolition; the 1989 100th Anniversary celebrations, photographs of Centennial Park and Rathbun Memorial Park; the opening of the Deseronto Public Library in its 358 Main Street location in 2001; the Ontario Provincial Police handover ceremony in 2001; an Easter Parade from the early 2000s; a Santa Parade; the 2002 New Year’s Levee; and the 2010 Olympic Flame run in Deseronto.
Most of the photographs appear to have been taken by Town staff. One envelope was donated to the Town by Irene Usher and contains photographs taken by her late husband, Tom.

They include a set of aerial photographs from the 1980s (some duplicates), photographs of Centennial and Rathbun Memorial Park, the opening of the Deseronto Public Library in its 358 Main Street location in 2001, the 2010 Olympic Flame run in Deseronto, an Easter Parade from the early 2000s, a Santa Parade, the OPP handover (2007?), interior of the Home Hardware store in the Baker Block, 1989 100th Anniversary celebrations, 2002 New Year’s Levee, the O’Connor House before demolition.
Some were taken by Tom Usher (donated by Irene Usher), others are of unknown provenance: probably taken by Town staff.
