French Pictorial Service photographs

Photographs taken in northeast France during the First World War. They are all stamped "French Pictorial Service, 200 West 42nd Street, N.Y.". They all depict scenes relating to the war and may have been used as research material for the filming of 'Carry On Sergeant!'.

Typescript transcription of the diary of Constable John McCrodan of Belleville Police, Belleville, Ontario from August 1869 to March 1870. The original diary is in the possession of Mrs Cathy Atkinson, a descendant of McCrodan. It was transcribed by Lindi Pierce in 2016.

T.P.J. Power Album of Kilties Tour of the World

Album contains 317 photographs documenting the journey of the Kilties band around the world. The group visited Hawaii, Fiji, Australia, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, India, Myanmar, Egypt, Italy, Sicily, France, Gibraltar, Scotland and England to perform concerts. The photograph document the tourist activities the party took part in on their trip.

Bay of Quinte Tartan sample

File contains a sample of the Bay of Quinte tartan, designed by Alex Wilson and produced by Trenton Dyeing and Finishing.

According to the Trent Port Historical Society: "The dark blue blocks of the fabric represented the Bay of Quinte, lighter blue blocks represented the rivers and streams leading to the bay, green blocks signified local fields and parks and the gold threads symbolized the golden future of the Quinte area."
