Moira River Conservation Authority, 1962

File contains several newspaper articles regarding control of the water level of the Moira River, the selection of officers of the Moira River Conservation Authority for 1962 and reforestation projects proposed for the MRCA watershed area. Also present are two printed booklets entitled respectively, : 'Moira River Conservation Authority : Progress and Achievements, 1947-1962' and a 1964 'Conservation Drive,' which outlines a self-guided auto tour through the Moira Valley.

Moira River Conservation Authority to 1956

File contains a typescript transcript of a CJBQ Belleville Special Events Announcement concerning an annual tour of the Moira River Conservation Authority lands ca. 1956. Also included is a typescript news release of the Moira Conservation Authority concerning the regulations for the construction of farm ponds, and tree planting assistance. Also present are several newspaper articles concerning projects and flood control by the Conservation Authority in 1956; and two photocopied typescript booklets entitled respectively, 'Report to the Authority on the Proposed Park and Museum on # 7 Highway at Actinolite,” 13 June 1956, and 'Tour Guide and Meeting Agenda' 13 June 1956.

Moira River floods

File contains a typescript circular letter to the members of the retail section of the Belleville Chamber of Commerce [BCC] from the BCC president J.C.R. Punchard concerning flood warning and watches established by the Moira River Conservation Authority [MRCA] during the winter of 1959. Also contains a printed flood warning statement issued by the MRCA, 14 April 1959. Also present are several newspaper articles concerning high waters and flooding of the Moira River in Belleville in March, 1959.
