Hastings County Petition for Welfare Case Trenton 1862
File contains an 1862 petition to Hasting County for welfare for Sophia Crosbee of Trenton, she had five young children, her husband, Samual Crosbee Jr. died when he was thrown from his wagon on the Frankford and Stirling gravel road, which was in very poor condition.
John Fairbairn Anderson negatives
Negatives of photographs taken by John Fairbairn Anderson. They include images of dams, electricity generating plants, the Beal family cottage on Stoney Lake and photographs of places Anderson visited, including Orillia, Los Angeles, Peterborough, Young's Point, Sulphide, Port Hope, Muskegon (Michigan), Chicago and Trenton (Ontario).
Many of the negatives are associated with an index card, on which Anderson wrote the number of the negative, the subject of the photograph and the date it was taken. There were also a number of negatives with no associated card.

Trenton : Bleecker's Ferry, 1830-1834
File contains a newspaper article and a photocopy of the same, with a reproduction of a sketch of Bleecker's hotel and ferry as they appeared in the 1830s. The ferry served as a crossing for the Trent at the location of the present Highway 2 bridge in Trenton.
File contains manuscript and typescript correspondence, telegrams and memos received by C.H. Bonter, Chairman of the Light Committee, Trenton concerning tenders for the creation of a power plant and the installation of electric lighting in the town of Trenton in 1890. Also present is an undated newspaper article, regarding Trenton municipal opposition to a monopoly by a private electrical company in the town.
