File contains manuscript and typescript correspondence relating to potential leases and shareholders' interests in the Richardson Mine, Eldorado, Ontario. Also contains a printed circular to stockholders concerning the termination of the company's operations in 1868.

Richardson Gold Mining Company, : McFaul & Powell Families

File contains a typescript letter from Thomas Kelso to Robert Gray, 1 October 1884 concerning an offer to sell interests in the lands of the former Richardson Gold Mine. Also contains several photocopied newspaper articles concerning the history of the Richardson Gold Mine. Also present are photocopied stock certificates of the Royal Canadian Mining Company, Madoc ; a typescript history of the Powell and McFaul Families of Marmora Township and a brief biography of Marcus Herbert Powell who discovered gold on the John Richardson property in what became the community of Eldorado.

Eighteen photo-postcards of Hastings County scenes, taken by William Freeman. They include images of Bannockburn (2), Eldorado (4), Moscow (1), and Trenton (3). Items donated in 2011 include a photograph of Oran Tripp at Trenton, snapshots of the Rose family of Millbridge, a Model T at Bannockburn in 1911 and three C.N.R. engines at Bannockburn in 1912.

Plan of Eldorado Lots in the Township of Madoc

A certified reproduction of the Plan of Eldorado, Village & Mining Lots, as laid out on the northeast quarter of Lot # 17 in the 5th Concession of Madoc Township for John Moore. Surveyed by C. F. Aylsworth Sr., P.L.S. and signed January 2, 1867.

This copy was made in 1972 of plans #114, 115 and 115B, as registered in the Hastings Land Registry Office.
