This file contains: 1) A photocopied typed article titled "Telegraph Island Light", about the lighthouse erected 1870 in the Bay of Quinte; 2) A timetable for the steamer Varuna, circa 1920, Captain A. Hicks; 3) A photocopy of the obituary for Rev. James Rollins born 28 October 1865 in Madoc and died 7 February 1943 in Kingston.
The collection reflects the publishing interests of Nick and Helma Mika. It comprises four main series: photographic files, reference files, printing process files and other materials. The collection is strong in local history materials, particularly relating to the history of the United Empire Loyalists, railways, and the city of Belleville.
Three registers of Harbour Dues paid by ships offloading cargo at the Port of Belleville between 21 September 1939 and 5 December 1946. The registers record the date; the name of the ship; the quantity and nature of the cargo; the recipient; the dues owing and the date they were paid. Entries are signed by the harbour master: Joseph Waddell until 5 October 1945 and George Oliver Tice after that date.

Copy of agreement with Canadian National Railway Company concerning the purchase of locomotive 2534. (The engine was permanently loaned to the City in 1968 and was purchased in 1986 for $1.00. The file also includes an invitation and program for the official unveiling of the plaque at the locomotive on 23 June 1968; Polaroid photographs of the locomotive from 1990; and newspaper clippings from 1995 concerning the discovery of asbestos on the engine.
