Recording of a talk on the Royal Flying Corps training camps near Deseronto, Ontario, given by J. Allan Smith to the Hastings County Historical Society.
Album of photographs and tintypes taken between 1869 and 1874, mainly by photographers in Belleville, Ontario. Two individuals are identified by name: Rev. William Craig and Miss Bogart. Also 21 snapshots from 1900 to 1910, including photographs of Helen McKeown's uncle Arthur, who was undertaking medical training as a nurse. One photograph shows 'prisoners at work' taken from Arthur's room in a hospital.
The collection contains: The Second Legislature of Upper Canada, 1796-1800; a Moira Conservation Report from 1955; postcards and photographs of Belleville and the surrounding area (c. 1920s); a bible from the Ketcheson family; and newspaper clippings about Bay Bridge.
Printed 'General Ledger Balance Book, The Standard Bank of Canada' used as a scrapbook of newspaper articles featuring John Elliott's activities in Belleville as a bank manager, president of the Board of Trade, and chair of the Board of Education.
