Portrait of George Hamilton Backus (1830-1904). He worked for Brown's foundry in Belleville, and was a member of City Council in 1885 and a public school trustee. He was also a member of the volunteer fire brigade and associated with the 49th Hastings Rifles. He was a member of St. John's Presbyterian Church.

Photographs of participants and guests in events held on 16 October 2021 to mark the unveiling of the Dr. James Bertram Collip Reflective Gardens in Belleville, Ontario. Guests included Dr. Alison Li, author of a biography of Collip, and Major Charles Wyatt, Collip's great-grandson. Also present were MP Ryan Williams, MPP Todd Smith, Mayor Mitch Panciuk, Warden Rick Phillips, Rihanna Harris, and Collip Committee members Richard Hughes and Ian Sullivan.

Text reads: "Plan of Town lots laid out on the front of the East Half of lot number twenty three in the Seventh concession of the Township of Thurlow in the County of Hastings, Surveyed for the proprietor Josephy Fletcher Mackencie [Mackenzie] , By John Emerson P.L.S. October 1877. Scale one chain to an Inch. This plan is correct and is prepared under the provisions of the Registrations of Titles (Ontario) Act. John Emerson P.L.S. Duplicate Plan registered the first day of June A. D. 1878." The lot at the southeast corner is identified as "Halls Tavern Lot".
Collection comprises 22 photographs showing people hunting and fishing on Georgian Bay (1894-1897) and Samuel George Beatty's orange grove in California. Also an example of a Bay of Quinte tartan sash made by Olwen Sherman for members of the YMCA Y's Men and Menettes (c.1967).
