Flinton – Local history 1968

File contains newspaper clipping from 1968 featuring the history of Flinton; including: a photograph of Sargent Edmund Vance of Flinton who took part in the battle of Vimy Ridge, and two copies of an article about items of local history found in an old box after the house of the former postmaster was purchased.

Flint, Billa – Misc. 1864

File contains miscellaneous biographical information about Billa Flint (b. 1805 d. 1894) who owned lumber and saw mills in Bridgewater and became Mayor of Belleville 1866 and warden of the County of Hastings in 1873 and held other elected positions, he was appointed to the Senate by MacKenzie. Documents include: newspaper clippings, a directory of his businesses, and typed and written notes.
