Digital copies of photographs taken by Sergeant Christopher Paulus Devos, a flight instructor for 84 Canadian Training Squadron of the Royal Flying Corps and Royal Air Force at Camp Mohawk near Deseronto, Ontario.

Photograph of a young woman with inscription reading "Dear Mother With best Love Lettie, Aug 12th 1903". The woman is possibly Lettie Howard (born Lettie Young: 1874-1961). Lettie Howard is the only person in Deseronto in the 1901 census with that first name. She married Robert Howard in Belleville on 10 April 1894.

   The picture is undated, but E. I. Gale was Principal of the school between 1922 and 1926. There is a high overlap of team members with the 1926-1927 team photograph, so this may be the 1925-1926 hockey team.

1. Plan of part of the Town of Deseronto, before 1898 (the Terra Cotta works are still standing), showing roads, railways, buildings and lot numbers for properties south of Dundas Street, east of College Street (which has no name on the map) and west of Boundary Road. The map is hand-coloured to show the blocks and railways.

2. Negative photocopy (in 4 parts) of a plan of Mill Point village, 1875

Photograph shows the Pasmore pharmacy at the northwest corner of St. George and Thomas Streets in Deseronto, Ontario. The owner of this property was Dr. William Pasmore.

A red and white quilt made in 1894 by the Steady Gleaners, a group of women affiliated with the Presbyterian Church of the Redeemer, Deseronto, Ontario, possibly with the aim of raising funds for missionary work. This quilt may have been made for such a purpose. The signatures of the women in the society are embroidered onto the squares of the quilt.

The photographs are arranged by subject matter and cover activities in and around the town of Deseronto, Ontario. The majority date from the late nineteenth century and many depict the lumber-related industries of the Rathbun Company in Deseronto. There are also photographs of school groups, churches, railways, First World War airfields and portraits of Deseronto citizens.

A series of files originally maintained as vertical files in the Deseronto Archives, covering a wide range of topics related to the history of Deseronto, Ontario, and the surrounding area.

Collection consists of two items:

• Digital copy of a photograph of the Redi-Heat building on Mill and Water streets in Deseronto, taken by Frederick Harold Ball in 1938
• Financial statements for the Redi-Heat Electrical Appliance Company, 1946, prepared by W. S. Stone, Chartered Accountant, of Belleville, Ontario

Album of photographs compiled by a member of the Hobbs family. Teddie Hobbs appears in one of the photographs and there is also a photograph of the grave of J. E. Hobbs. The majority of photographs are of the First World War Royal Flying Corps training camps in North America: Camps Borden and Mohawk in Ontario and Camp Taliaferro in Texas.

Photographs depicting aircraft and airmen of the Royal Flying Corps/Royal Air Force, principally taken in and around Camp Rathbun, the pilot training camp situated to the north of Deseronto, Ontario. The majority of individuals pictured are not identified, although the captions 'Jimmie Russell' and 'Cadet Mitchell' appear on two of the photographs.

Green ashtray awarded at the Lucky Strikes Lanes in Deseronto, Ontario, for a bowling score of "320 & Over in 5-Pins".

The Lucky Strikes Lanes were at 358 Main Street, where Deseronto Public Library was later located.

Colour photographs of the town’s two original “Heart of Walleye World” fish signs and the three signs which were painted in 2006 to replace the old ones. The plywood was donated by the Town of Deseronto and the work of cutting out the fish shapes was undertaken by Tom Usher. Diane Myers painted the signs and the fish scales were done by a man called Gerry [surname unknown] who appears in the last two photographs.

Compliments slip from the Stover and Sager store in Deseronto, Ontario, which sold groceries, flour, feed, boots and shoes.
