Slides made by Rudolf Donninger during his time in Belleville, Ontario, working at Northern Electric. They include photographs of buildings in Belleville, rural scenes, cars, a parade and the Belleville Fair in 1970, winter scenes, Ottawa and Kingston views, and aircraft at the Trenton Air Show.
File contains newspaper advertisements of sailings of steamers including the Allan transatlantic line, and several offerings by the Rathbun Co., Belleville agents, for the Hero, Steamer Varuna, and Quinte, which plied local waters.
The file contains a newspaper article from The Intelligencer, dated 14 Nov 2004, titled "Stirling train station was home; Ken was reared in era of steam". The article is about Ken Nunn who spent his formative years in the Stirling rail station, growing up in the apartments above the ground floor station. His dad was station master at the train station for more than 20 years.

File contains a newspaper article from the Intelligencer from Thursday, July 23, 1970 titled “Tidbits of History In Old Newspaper”. It references an old edition of the Daily Ontario dated May 10, 1928 that was purchased at an auction in Prince Edward County.
File contains newspaper articles concerning the history of the Monck Road, a colonization road primarily, but also intended as a less vulnerable military route between the Upper Great Lakes and the Ottawa Valley, passing near Bancroft, Ontario. The road was surveyed in 1864-1865 and named in honour of Governor-General, Lord Monck. Also included is typescript transcript of an article entitled "Was the Monck Road for Military Use?" / by Dr. J. J. Talman, first published in the Orillia Packet and Times, 27 June 1940
