Diary/account book of an unidentified lumber merchant from Hastings County, dated 1877. The author mentions shanties, Mill Point and the Rathbun Company, Mr. Wilkie, driving to Robert Bishop's, being at the Mill, attending church, sale of timber in Hungerford Township, daily account for the entire year.
A note from Gerry Boyce in his Fonds Descriptions (Volume 1) reads "Diary/account book for person working for J. A. Buck in Centre Hastings, 1877"

File contains a four-page typescript history by Ruth Matheson Buck Concerning Marchmont Home, a Belleville orphanage for British Home Children which was established ca. 1870. Also contains a newspaper clipping regarding the arrival of fifty children at the Marchmont Home in 1924.

Messrs. White, Foster & Bowell will be present."
The file contains an email from Ken Brown, Archives, Deseronto Public Library. The email contains a "local notice" from the Feb 17, 1893 issue of the Tribune and is about Peter Lennahan of Tyendinaga being injured while enroute from Tyendinaga to Belleville with a load of wood.

The file contains two newspaper obituaries for Betsy Dewar Boyce (born 27 March 1913, died 12 August 2007), copies of the memorial service, a newspaper article titled "Boyce remembered for love of history, volunteerism" and the address given at the Remembrance service on 21 September 2007.
