File contains a reproduction of a manuscript diary of W. Hambly, surveyor, for the period 6 December 1793 to 1 May 1794. The diary entries discuss the survey process in Thurlow, Sidney, Huntingdon and Rawdon Townships. Also present is a typescript transcript of the diary with an appended footnote section which contains a glossary of terms.

File contains a printed bulletin of the Departments of History and Political and Economic Science, Queen's University, entitled "Captain John Deserontyou and the Mohawk Settlement at Deseronto" by M. Eleanor Herrington. The bulletin was published in 1921 and recounts the history of the early settlement of Tyendinaga. Also contains a letter to the editor of the Ontario Intelligencer explaining the origins of Captain John Deseronto [Deserontyou's] name.

Grant of three acres in Deseronto, Ontario, part of the territory of the Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte, to the Board of the Deseronto High School (John Newton, Frederick Sherwood Rathbun, Thomas Roach, Arthur Stanley Valleau, Herbert Burt Rathbun and Thomas Hamlin Nasmith), for the sum of $2,500. A stamp on the reverse of the deed states that it was registered on 12 May 1965.
