The Wanamaker fonds consists of textual records and graphic materials of genealogical histories of various families. Gardiner, Rev. James, "Story of My Life"

File contains two copies of typescript extracts from an autobiography, “My Life-Story” by Rev. James Gardiner, D.C.L (b. 1818), written in 1897-1898. The extracts were made by Gerry Boyce in 1960.
Also contains article "When the 'Plain Speaker's' Type was Pied" by H. F. Gardiner, son of James, presented at the Ontario Historical Society in July 1922.

Madoc : Hannah family genealogy

File contains a typescript extract from the Hastings County Court Registry Office concerning the ownership of a piece of land in Madoc Township, granted to C. Gordon Hannah in 1861. The lot is not identified, but information from the land index maintained by the Marilyn Adams Genealogical Research Centre suggest that it is lot 24 in the seventh concession of Madoc Township.

The Intelligencer : early history

File contains an Ontario Intelligencer article dated 14 June 1924 concerning the establishment and early history of the Weekly Intelligencer [later Ontario Intelligencer]. This issue of the newspaper is available online at https://archive.org/details/intelligencer-june-1924/page/n85/mode/2up . Also present is a typescript genealogy of the family of George Benjamin who started the newspaper in 1834. The genealogy was prepared by Ruby Milburn, granddaughter of George and Isabella Benjamin.
