Map of Sidney Township in 1787 - 1981 rewrite

A recopy of the 1787 map of Sidney Township. The original map entitled "Plan of the Township of Sidney in the District of Mecklinburg. Surveyed in 1787 by Lewis Kotts, with the names of the proprietor inserted in the Lots." The recopy was completed by Mrs. Dorothy Ashton in 1981, for the Corby Public Library and Hastings County Historical Society. Scale 40 chains to an inch.

This copy was made in 1972 of plan #391, as registered in the Hastings Land Registry Office.

Plan of Distillery Block in the town of Belleville

A certified reproduction of the "Distillery Block - Lot # 50a on the north side of Dundas Street.” The block includes land on the north side of Dundas Street East between Ann Street and Albert Street, in Belleville. Surveyed by Evans and Bolger, P. L. S. and dated November 7, 1877.

Plan of Diseronca (Deseronto)

1972 copy of an 1837 plan of 'Diseronca' (now Deseronto, Ontario), surveyed by G.J. Clapp on August 26th, 1837. The plan is Plan 43 of the plans registered in the Hastings County Registry. This copy is held by the Community Archives of Belleville and Hastings County (Map #143 - reference M430-1763).

The north-south streets shown on the right side of the map are, from right to left, First Street, Second Street, Third Street and Fourth Street. Near the end of Fourth Street a wharf is marked on the map. This is Culbertson's Wharf.

Tyendinaga - Mill Point Incorporation - 1871

File contains original petition to incorporate Mill Point into an "Incorporated Village" 17 May1871, signed by Edward Wilkes Rathbun and 100 residents of the village. There are also petitions of protest from residents north of the York Road [Highway 2] who did not want to be part of the village. File also includes a plan of the proposed boundaries Mill Point (Map M440-1446).
