Scanned image of a certificate of first communion and confirmation for Virginia Houle (1874-1944), the donor's grandmother. She received her first communion in Deseronto, Ontario, in August 1885 [at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church] and was confirmed in Napanee, Ontario on November 3rd, 1887 [at St. Patrick's Catholic Church].
The certificate was printed by L. Turgis, 60 Rue Des Ecoles, Paris.

George and Olive moved with their family to Deseronto, Ontario,in 1930 and lived at what is now 317 Main Street next to the small park.

Grant of three acres in Deseronto, Ontario, part of the territory of the Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte, to the Board of the Deseronto High School (John Newton, Frederick Sherwood Rathbun, Thomas Roach, Arthur Stanley Valleau, Herbert Burt Rathbun and Thomas Hamlin Nasmith), for the sum of $2,500. A stamp on the reverse of the deed states that it was registered on 12 May 1965.

The minutes record applications for membership of the society, payments of bills and notes of people who addressed the group. There are some loose papers inside the volume, mainly applications for admission, with reports of character committees on the back.

News clipping of a report from the Kingston Whig Standard on the regular monthly meeting of the Deseronto Board of Education, held at Deseronto High School, Ontario on June 6th, 1944.
Items covered in the meeting included a request from Principal R. A. Bowen for the grass to be cut in the field of the Public School where the children played ball and the resignation of Miss Mary Rogers of Room 1, Public School.
The chairman of the Board was Cuthbert Sager. Other members included Mrs. T. R. McCullough, Mrs. C. F. Dummell, Rev. F. G. Robinson, J. C. Reynolds, R. Wessman and E. Gibson.
