Depth of the Moira River for Channel Plan

A map showing, primarily, the depth of the Moira River within Belleville, Ontario. Together with a written report, it proposed a channel to the New Ferry Slip. Major streets and some lots are also labelled. By John D. Evans, P.L.S. on April 28, 1881 or 1887. Scale: 66 feet : 1". Note the interesting colouring at dimmed edges.

Receipts and certificates addressed to Thomas Kelso from suppliers and contractors involved in building his property at 161 George Street, Belleville, Ontario. The work was carried out between 1873 and 1876 under the direction of John D. Evans, architect. This collection also includes notes on the Kelso/Roberts family tree, compiled by Trudi and Bob Banting, with reproduction photographs of family members.

Made for Trustees of Estate of late Tobia's Bleecker -being Anson Gilbert Northrup, Thomas Wills and Nelson Lingham." Many buildings are on the island - including a saw mill and Frost's Cabinet Factory. Between Moira Street and mill race are 2 dwellings and the mill building. Surveyed by John D.
