File contains a manuscript marriage license dated 24 August 1797 of Mungo Ponton and Grace Nisbet, issued in Edinburgh Scotland in 1798. Also present is a manuscript dinner invitation issued to Captain and Mrs. Ponton by Dr. and Mrs. Burrows, 21 February 1860.

File contains several receipts and statements of account owed to Anson G. Northrup, Esq., Belleville. Includes a typescript note listing two record of marriage licenses issued by A. G. Northrup, who held the office of Clerk of Hastings County Court. Also present is the last will and testament of Mary Northrup, March 12, 1867, executed 5 June 1879.

Ponton, Mungo : Crown grants

File contains a printed completed oath of allegiance sworn by Mungo Ponton before the Upper Canada Commissioner for the taking of oaths, on 13 August 1841. Also present is a manuscript letter from E.Mahon to Mungo Ponton concerning an application by the latter for land in the Township of Seymour, Northumberland County, 30 August 1831; and a printed, completed deed of land granted on 22 July 1841 to Mungo Ponton for a tract of four hundred acres, at lot number 8, in the 7th concession and lot number 8, 8th concession in the Township of Seymour, Northumberland County.
