File contains several newspaper clippings regarding social and local business activities in Roslin in 1956-1957 including the celebration of the 100th anniversary of Chisolm's lumber mill in June 1957. Also present is a printed booklet commemorating the 100th anniversary of St. Paul's Anglican Church in Roslin on 3 June 1945 and another marking the 125th anniversary in 1970.

File contains a reproduction of a manuscript diary of W. Hambly, surveyor, for the period 6 December 1793 to 1 May 1794. The diary entries discuss the survey process in Thurlow, Sidney, Huntingdon and Rawdon Townships. Also present is a typescript transcript of the diary with an appended footnote section which contains a glossary of terms.

File contains three original documents: a letter dated 8 November 1855 to Isiah Human; a motion from Meeting of Municipal Council of the County of Hastings circa. 1850; a letter to the Municipal Council of Hastings - all detailing an accident involving Thomas Smith and request for financial restitution to both Mr. Smith and Mr. Henry Fanning.
