Also contains a typescript excerpts from the Diary of Captain Le Visconte recounting his voyage to Belleville from England and describing conditions in Belleville upon his arrival in 1835.

File contains photocopied printed excerpts from the Hastings Directory 1864-1865 and 1889 providing descriptions of Madoc village and lists of landholders by occupation.
