Levisconte papers

File contains manuscript probate documents relating to the estate of Henry Le Vesiconte [Levisconte], Captain in the Royal Navy and later gentleman farmer, and a manuscript last will and testament of Sarah Le Vesiconte, widow of Henry Le Vesiconte, 1856. Also contains a typescript excerpts from the Diary of Captain Le Visconte recounting his voyage to Belleville from England and describing conditions in Belleville upon his arrival in 1835.

Hastings Directory 1868

File contains communications from 1865 discussing sending copies of the Hastings County Council Directory to every council in Upper Canada, to the United States, and Europe, and the Office of Immigration. The 1868 communications discuss the inclusion of mineral resource locations and maps.

Marmora & Lake Townships : open letter to the electors, 1914

File contains a printed letter to the electors of Marmora and Lake Townships from Thomas Southworth, Vice President of Delora Mining and Eduction Co. encouraging voters to decide against the sale of liquor in Marmora and Lake Townships in 1914. Also contains several newspaper clippings regarding muncipal elections and finances, ca. 1956-1960.
