Biographical history

Edith Charlotte Hanna was born in Wales on August 22, 1905 and immigrated to Canada in 1913. She was the daughter of Ebenezer and Edith Kate Cooke and one of eleven children. Her sister Ethel Mildred McGuire also lived in Belleville. On June 6, 1923, she married John Herbert Hanna in Belleville. Edith Hanna was a member of Christ Church and of the Minerva Chapter of the Eastern Star and White Shrine. She died on September 15, 1981 in Belleville.

Ethel Mildred McGuire was born in Wales on May 2, 1896 and immigrated to Canada in 1913. The daughter of Ebenezer and Edith Kate Cooke, she was one of eleven children. Her sister Edith Charlotte Hanna also lived in Belleville. Ethel McGuire married John McGuire on July 10, 1916 in Belleville. Mrs. McGuire was a member of St. Margaret's Anglican Church and the Ladies' Auxiliary, ANAF, Duke of Edinburgh Unit 201. She died on February 8, 1975 in Belleville.
