Tyendinaga - Parish of St. Charles Read
File contains brief history of the Parish of St. Charles Borromeo in Read as well as two newspaper clippings from the Intelligencer, one dated 20-August-1968 titled "Burial Site of Early Anglican Catechist Who Served Mohawks Is Rediscovered" and the other dated 27-November-1968 titled "Parish Centre of Tyendinaga Mohawks Endowed with Historical Significance".
File contains an original letter dated 20-April-1836 from J. Givins, Chief Superintendent Indian Department requesting a list of "squatters" on the land.
File contains a souvenir booklet published by the 1960-1961 Council of Tyendinaga Indian Reserve, Deseronto, that contains stories and photos of the local Mohawk people.
