Biographical history

David Morrice was a photographer, active in the 1870s in Belleville, Ontario. He was born in Scotland in 1839 and died in Madoc on 15th May 1901.

Archival history

Original owner was Sheila MacDonald (1940-2021), the donor's sister.

Immediate source of acquisition or transfer

Donated by Sharon Mortimore to Glanmore National Historic Site in April 2022. Transferred to the Community Archives in July 2022.

Photographs of unidentified individuals. The albumen prints were published by D. Morrice of Madoc, D. J. Wallace, I. Forrest of Belleville and Porral of Gibraltar.
