History

A meeting was held at Shire Hall in Belleville on 16 July 1908 for the purpose of organizing a Lawn Bowling Club. In August 1908 The Daily Intelligencer reported that the club met on "Mr. E. G. [Ephraim George] Sills' lawn." In 1909 John Taylor sold the club lots 1 and 2 on the west side of William Street, Belleville, where it remained until moving to Yeomans Street in 1932. In 2020 it moved to 69 Centre Street, part of the Hillcrest Park development.
