Lazier, Alford Foster

Alford Foster Lazier was born in Belleville, Ontario on 4 April 1874, the child of Samuel Lazier and Ada Smith Richardson. He worked as a painter and decorator and he married Edith Blanche Tugnett (1875-1955) on 15 June 1904. They lived at 164 Coleman Street and had four children: Gertrude, Fred, Allan and Erma. Alford died in Belleville in 1943.

Violet Irene Camken was born in Kent, England in 1917, the child of Frank Camken and Violet Mary (Geering). Her parents had moved from England to Canada in 1913 but were in England at the time of Violet's birth, as her father was serving in the Canadian Expeditionary Force. They left England for Canada again in 1918. Violet I. Camken served in the Royal Canadian Air Force in the Second World War. She married Ralph Archie Bowerman on 15 February 1950 and the couple had three children. Ralph died in 1953. Violet died in Belleville on 2 July 2007.

Julien Donald Bissonnette was born on 1 July 1857. He was baptized at St. Peter in Chains Roman Catholic Church in Trenton, Ontario, on 13 October 1857, the child of Julien Bissonnette and his wife, Mary Donald. Julien studied at Queen's University in Kingston, obtaining his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1880. He taught at Dundas High School from 1880 to 1889, before returning to Queen's to qualify as a Doctor of Medicine in 1892. He worked as a doctor in Napanee and then for more than 20 years in Stirling, Ontario, where he died on 31 December 1921.
