Thomson, John Arnold

John Arnold Thomson was born in Ayr, Ontario, on March 2nd, 1876, the son of John and Martha Thomson. He was an architect and worked in Ottawa as the Chief Draughtsman of the Public Works Department before moving to Belleville, Ontario, in 1924. He married Eleanor Featherstonhaugh in Ottawa on September 23rd, 1903 and the couple had three daughters. Thomson was the architect of the Belleville Collegiate Institute and Vocational School in Belleville. He died on March 12th, 1949 and was buried in Ayr.

Newton Thompson was born in Deseronto, Ontario, the son of James Herbert Thompson and Eliza (née Foote). He married Frances (Fanny) Strong on 22nd May 1917 in Belleville. Thompson worked for CN Rail as a clerk, serving as their chief clerk in Belleville for 20 years. He was a Mason and active in the work of Belleville Red Cross and the YMCA. He retired from CN in 1957 and died in Belleville on 17th June 1973.

She married Samuel Rollins, a farmer, in Madoc, Ontario on 6 November 1883. She died in Vermilion, Alberta on 12 July 1956 and was buried in Fort Qu'Appelle, Saskatchewan.
