Gwendolyn Braidwood was born in Belleville on June 28, 1905, the daughter of Stephen Dunbar Lazier and Florence May Lingham. She attended St. Agnes School in Belleville, Bishop Strachan School in Toronto, Belleville Collegiate and Ontario Business College in Belleville. Gwen Lazier achieved fame when she responded to the request of the Belleville mayor, W.C. Mikel to ride a horse to Washington, D.C. to advertise the 140th anniversary of the landing of the Loyalists in the Quinte area. She delivered invitations in towns all the way to Washington, offering one to President Calvin Coolidge on the White House grounds. Her ride was recorded in newspapers in Canada and the United States. Gwen Lazier later worked as a stenographer in Toronto and married Jack Braidwood after the Second World War. They retired to the Quinte area in 1965. Gwendolyn Braidwood died in Belleville on October 5, 2007.

William Bleecker Esq was born May 10, 1823 in Ireland and died August 29, 1910. Janet Bleecker (nee Siericks), was born December 13, 1827 in Scotland and died November 30, 1884 in Hastings County. William and Janet were married c. 1846 and had several children: Henry, Tobias, Mary, Herman, Frederick, Lewis, Donald and Ellen.

Sarah Jane Bleecker (nee Stewart), was born November 30, 1856 and died February 25, 1931. William and Sarah married on June 6, 1887, after the death of his first wife, Janet, due to heart failure. Sarah and William had William Bleecker (c. 1889-?) and Benjamin Seymour Bleecker (Sep. 30, 1891 - Dec. 7, 1968).

Benjamin married Laura Evelyn Cummings on October 6, 1914. Laura was born October 7, 1891 and died on December 3, 1984. Benjamin and Laura had three children: Evelyn Christine, Bessie Margaret, and Donald Roscoe.

Bellin, Jacques Nicolas

Jacques was born in France in 1703. In 1721 he was appointed chief cartographer to the French Navy. In August 1741, he was named Official Hydrographer of the French King. Throughout his career he charted areas in France and later in Canada. He died at 69 years of age on March 21, 1772.
