Herbert 'Burt' Rathbun was born in Deseronto in 1861, the child of Hugo Burghardt Rathbun and Louisa (Storm). He married Agnes Bell in Belleville on February 12th, 1884. They had three children: Helen (born 1885), John (born 1886) and Leo (born 1890). In 1891 the family were living in Deseronto, where their household included a cook, a housemaid, a nurse and a coachman. By 1897 they were living in Bridge Street, Belleville, which is where Burt died of tuberculosis in Belleville on April 4th of that year.

Louise Rathbun was born in Deseronto, Ontario, on March 16th, 1859, daughter of Hugo Burghardt Rathbun and his wife Louise (Storm). She married Edward Clement French on October 22nd, 1884 in Deseronto. He died on April 23rd, 1895 in Deseronto. She married Frederick W. Powell on June 30th, 1896 in Deseronto. He died December 3rd, 1915 in Ottawa. She died in Ottawa on September 7th, 1922.

Reverend A. Newton Reid was born in Quebec in 1894. He had a B.A. degree from Queen's University as well as a Bachelor of Theology degree from Queen's. He also had a M. A. degree from Columbia University in New York City. Reid was the minister at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church in Stirling, Ontario, in 1931. After Stirling, he served in Cookstown and Richmond, Ontario where he met Evyleen Stewart. After their marriage in July 1944, they served in Presbyterian Churches in Colborne, Avonton, Chesley and Holstein in southwest and western Ontario. Newton was a member of the Keystone Masonic Lodge of the Royal Arch Masons. He died in Brockville in 1991.

Reid, Harold

William Harold Reid was born on July 26, 1895 to William Charles Reid (1853–1932) and Frances Ann Reid (1855–1936). Reid lived in Belleville until 1914 where he served in the Army as a Signaling Instructor, served two years as a Radio Officer in the Navy. Afterwards, he went to University and served as a Minister of the Presbyterian Church, mainly in Quebec.

Reid then taught Hebrew at the Presbyterian College in Montreal until retirement. He also completed museum work as the President of the Argenteuil Historical Society, and was once the Vice President of the Quebec Museums Association.

He was married to Rotha Aileen McKenzie (1905-1944) on July 1, 1939. He later married Edith Kathleen Black (1899-2000) on July 5, 1946.

Reid died on December 21, 1991.

Reid, Leonard Finley

Leonard Finley Reid was born on August 15, 1898 in Rossmore, Prince Edward County, the son of Franklin Reid and Janie Faulkes. He was married to Erma Marie Champaign in Belleville on October 8, 1924. He became the co-founder and co-owner of Reid's Dairy from 1919 to 1960. He was a member of Holloway Street United Church and a life member of Belleville Lodge No. 123 A.F.A.M., GRC, Masonic Temple. He died on September 30, 1981.
